Trump warns Iran of attack if it enriches uranium to weapons level
The United States used bombers to attack three nuclear facilities in Iran on June 21. In response to a question at the press conference whether Trump would consider another attack if Tehran’s desire to make nuclear weapons could not be curbed after that attack, the US president said, “Absolutely. That is beyond question.”
Israel attacked Iran on June 13. Since then, the two countries have been exchanging attacks for 12 consecutive days. Trump mentioned at the press conference that Iran’s supreme leader “was beaten badly” in this conflict. Regarding the US-brokered Iran-Israel ceasefire on June 23, he said that it was the right time to stop the conflict.
The three nuclear facilities in Iran that were attacked on Trump’s sole order are located in the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan regions of the country. The US B-2 stealth bomber was used to carry out the attack. The Tomahawk missiles were fired at the facilities from a US submarine. Trump said that the nuclear facilities were “destroyed” in the attack.
Israel, the US and various Western countries, including Iran, have long had a headache over Iran’s nuclear program. They allege that Tehran is moving towards developing nuclear weapons under the guise of peaceful use of its nuclear programs. Israel launched an attack on Iran on June 13 based on this allegation. However, Iranian leaders have always denied this allegation.
